Who can have prescriptions filled at the Center for Health and Well-Being Pharmacy?
Our pharmacy is available to all patients eligible for Student Health and Well-Being services, as well as University faculty and staff.
Do you accept insurance cards?
Yes. We accept most major pharmacy insurance plans. However, we do not accept Medicare, Medicaid, or Humana. Please present your current prescription insurance card when filling your prescription.
Can you fill prescriptions written by my hometown provider?
Yes. Ask your provider to e-prescribe your prescription directly to the USC Center for Health and Well-Being Pharmacy.
Can I transfer a prescription to your pharmacy?
Yes. To transfer prescriptions from an outside pharmacy to the Center for Health and Well-Being Pharmacy, please complete and submit the Transfer Form available on our website or request a transfer in person at the pharmacy. Allow 24–48 hours for the transfer to be processed.
How to Request a Copy of Your Prescription Records
We respect your privacy and will not release any pharmacy records without your written consent.
To request a copy of your records, please complete and submit a Medical Release Form to the pharmacy via fax or mail.

Do you take back unused drugs?
No. We do not accept expired or unused medications directly. However, you can safely dispose of them in the blue drug take-back box located at Student Health and Well-Being. Both prescription and non-prescription medications including controlled substances are accepted. Please do not place needles, liquids, or aerosols in the box. We cannot offer monetary credit for unused medications.
How do I pay for my prescription?
We accept Visa and MasterCard (including HSA), Discover, Amex, Carolina Card, and electronic payment ( Apple Pay or Google Pay).
Do you sell pseudoephedrine products?
Yes. You will need to bring a government issued ID (Carolina Cards are not accepted).
Do you sell emergency contraception such as generic Plan B?
Yes. Generic Plan B is available over-the-counter at our pharmacy. Ella® is available by prescription only.
I’m going away for the summer (holidays, semester, etc). How can I be sure to have enough medication?
We’re happy to work with your insurance provider to determine if a vacation supply is allowed. If insurance isn’t involved, we can provide enough medication to cover the time you'll be away.
Alternatively, we can transfer your prescription to your hometown pharmacy for the summer and transfer any remaining refills back in the fall.
Can my roommate (friend, family member, etc.) pick up my prescription for me?
Yes. If someone else will be picking up your order, please call the pharmacy in advance to let us know who is authorized to do so.
How do I purchase over-the-counter (OTC) and snack items, like aspirin or Gatorade?
These items can be purchased at the pharmacy counter or delivered directly to you.
A $5.00 minimum purchase is required for delivery if the items are not accompanied by a prescription.
Where can I get a sharps container?
If you live on campus and use diabetes supplies, you can pick up official sharps containers to safely dispose of your used items. Using approved containers helps protect residence hall visitors and staff by clearly identifying hazardous materials.
Visit the lab on the first floor of the Center for Health and Well-Being to receive a sharps container plus a backup. When your container is full, simply return it and we’ll provide a replacement.
What to Bring?
Be sure to bring your Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License, Passport. Carolina Cards not accepted), Prescription insurance card, and any discount cards you want to use. A vaild government issued photo ID is required for all controlled-substance prescriptions and pseudoephedrine products.
I am a student living on campus. Where can I have my specialty medications sent?
If you’re a student living on campus, you can have your specialty medications shipped directly to the Allergy, Immunization, and Travel Clinic.

Are all prescriptions eligible for delivery?
No. Controlled substances and medications that require refrigeration cannot be delivered at this time. Other drug exclusions may apply. Please call the pharmacy for additional details.
Can I request delivery before my prescription is filled?
No. You can only request to have your prescription delivered when it has been filled and is ready for pickup through a link via a prescription ready text message.
When will my delivery arrive?
Deliveries will occur between 11am and 3pm M-F. If you place your order by 2:00pm you can receive same day delivery. After you have checked out you will receive an “Out for Delivery” text with an estimated delivery timeframe.
Which address can I select for delivery?
The pharmacy will provide on campus curbside delivery only. Pick the prepopulated delivery address closest to your location.
Do I need to provide a signature or identification to receive my delivery?
Yes. You will be required to sign and a government issued ID must be presented (Valid Driver’s License, Passport, Military ID). Carolina Cards are not accepted.
Is there a delivery fee?
No. There is not a delivery fee at this time.
Who will deliver my prescription?
The Center for Health and Well-Being Pharmacy will use the USC Paratransit bus for deliveries. The couriers are USC employees who have undergone a background screening and special training.
What information will be shared with the courier who will pick up and deliver my order?
The pharmacy will only share your full name, delivery address, phone number and an unidentifiable prescription number with the courier for delivery purposes only. To protect patient privacy, no other personal information or prescription information will be will be shared with the courier or displayed on the tamper-evident package.
How can I get my prescription delivered?

How do I pay for my delivery?

Add your prescription total, plus any OTC or snack items, to your cart before checkout. Everything will be delivered together at no extra cost!
A minimum order of $5.00 is required for delivery of OTC/snack items without a prescription.
